MANILA — Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto are working together again for a new movie.Titled “Hold Me Close,” the project was shared by the film’s writer and director, Jason Paul Laxamana, as he uploaded photos of Aquino and Barretto during their look test.
Also part of the movie under Viva Films are Migo Valid and Jairus Aquino.Based on Laxamana’s caption, the reunion project of Aquino and Barretto will be filmed in Japan.
Aquino and Barretto also posted about their upcoming project in their respective Instagram accounts.
Aquino and Barretto first teamed up in 2022 for “Expensive Candy,” a film written and directed by Laxamana.
Prior to “Expensive Candy,” Barretto worked with Laxamana for her 2019 movie “Between Maybes” which she co-starred with her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson.
Last January, Aquino went to Japan to film his reunion movie with actress Barbie Imperial.
