    NEW HBO ASIA ORIGINAL SERIES TRINITY OF SHADOWS PREMIERES JUNE 13

    Cast Includes Award-Winning Actors Kaiser Chuang, Sandrine Pinna And Liu Kuan-Ting, Member Of Canto-Pop Boyband MIRROR, Stanley Yau, And Malaysian Actor, Frederick Lee.

     Premiering with two back-to-back episodes every Sunday at 9pm from June 13 on HBO GO and HBO, brand-new HBO Asia Original Taiwan series, Trinity Of Shadows第三佈局塵沙惑, follows a murder investigation that leads righteous detective Tze-Wei, an up-and-coming public official Chi-Hsiao, and rookie policeman Chia-Hao into a dark labyrinth of power play. As the trio close in on the truth, they are inextricably intertwined and forced to confront their demons linked to a cold case from three years ago.

    Episodes include:

     

    Episode 1: Nicole 《妮可》

    Detective Tze-Wei is handling an assault case. When the police arrive at the scene, the victim, Nicole, decides not to press charges against the perpetrator, stunning Tze-Wei.

     

    Episode 2: The Old Wound 《舊傷口》

    Ordered to do administrative work, Tze-Wei receives an unexpected call for backup from a rookie police officer, Chia-Hao, who is investigating the case of absconded migrant workers. Disregarding protocol, Tze-Wei rushes to Chia-Hao’s aid.

     

    Episode 3: The Gunshot 《槍擊案》

    City Councilor Yang Chi-Hsiao is shot in his electoral district. Tze-Wei rushes to the scene immediately and makes an unexpected discovery.

     

    Episode 4: Three Years Ago 《三年前》

    Tze-Wei reluctantly takes on the task to safeguard Chi-Hsiao and identifies the shooter as a wanted criminal who held him hostage three years ago. Meanwhile, Nicole’s neighbour, Ching-Yao, discovers a body while hosting his friends from Hong Kong.

     

    Episode 5: Hero 《英雄》

    The body is identified as Jia-Jia, a young woman linked to Chi-Hsiao, whose cause of death is almost identical to another victim. While Tze-Wei and Chia-Hao suspect a police cover-up, Chi-Hsiao is already one step ahead of them.

     

    Episode 6: A Secret 《秘密》

    Tze-Wei and Chia-Hao decide to work with Chi-Hsiao to secretly investigate Ming-Chieh. When the duo finally arrest him, he is released due to a lack of evidence, infuriating Chia-Hao, whose grudge against Ming-Chieh is driven by personal reasons.

     

    Episode 7: Kidnapping 《綁架》

    Tze-Wei and Chi-Hsiao continue to investigate Jia-Jia’s murder. They receive a critical tip by chance. Meanwhile, Chia-Hao continues to look into Ming-Chieh on his own.

     

    Episode 8: The Truth of Mystery 《霧裡的真相》

    Tze-Wei believes that Chia-Hao’s disappearance is connected to Ming-Chieh’s kidnapping. Acting ahead of the other police officers, Tze-Wei tries to get ahold of Chia-Hao but to no avail.

    Character bios as follows:

    Hsu Tze-Wei 徐梓薇 (played by Sandrine Pinna 張榕容)

    Tze-Wei is a righteous detective who doesn’t compromise her morals. Despite being pressured to stop the investigation on the assault case involving the son of a prosecutor, she continues to pursue the matter, even if it means getting suspended. As she uncovers a series of conspiracies that are linked to a cold case from three years ago, she is forced to face her own demons.

     

    Yang Chi-Hsiao 楊啟逍 (played by Kaiser Chuang 莊凱勛)

    Succeeding his father as the city councillor, Chi-Hsiao is a well-liked and respected political figure known for his professionalism. As he prepares for his re-election campaign, Chi-Hsiao is met with waves of setback threatening his career – and his life.

     

     

     

     

    Chen Chia-Hao 陳家豪 (played by Liu Kuan-Ting 劉冠廷)

    A perceptive rookie police officer from Tze-Wei’s precinct. His quick wit and street-smarts make up for his lack of experience in the force. Driven by personal reasons, he joins Tze-Wei in a murder investigation.

     

     

     

     

    Hu Ta-Dong 胡大東 (played by Frederick Lee 李銘忠)

    Ta-Dong is a notorious, wanted fugitive with an extensive criminal history. After laying low for three years following his narrow escape from the police, he resurfaces for an unknown reason that will bring about grim consequences.

     

     

     

     

    Lin Ming-Chieh 林明杰 (played by OuYang Lun 歐陽倫)

    Ming-Chieh is a privileged and arrogant brat from a wealthy family who splurges on whatever he wants. Overindulged by his protective chief prosecutor mother, he is often sheltered from the consequences of his reckless and lawless actions.

     

     

     

     

    Chang Ching-Yao 張敬堯 (played by Stanley Yau 邱士縉)

    A Hong Kong native who is in Taiwan to attend graduate school. Following his chance meeting with Tze-Wei during an investigation involving his neighbour, the two become good friends. Outside of his interactions with Tze-Wei, Ching-Yao is a mysterious man who seems to be hiding something.
