Dune: Part Two is an upcoming 2024 American epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts. The sequel to Dune (2021), it is the second of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert, and follows Paul Atreides as he unites with the Fremen people of the desert planet Arrakis to wage war against House Harkonnen.

The desert calls.  Dune returns exclusively to IMAX starting February 7. This is your chance to experience Denis Villeneuve’s first Dune film the way it was meant to be seen.

From Academy Award nominated-director Denis Villeneuve comes Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’, the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name.

A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

The Guardian praised the film, saying, Empire gave Dune five out of five stars, lauding the actors’ performances, particularly Timothee Chalamet’s: “Among the uniformly excellent performances, Timothée Chalamet holds his own in his first blockbuster leading role. In a film this size, there’s every chance he’d get swallowed up by the sandworm-like enormity of everything around him–but even against the colossal spectacle, the magnetic charisma he displayed in smaller indie fare shines through.” On Rotten Tomatoes, Dune earned a certified fresh audience rating of 90%.
