[Netflix PR] TUDUM: All the Asian Gems this 2023

This year’s TUDUM 2023 fan event was live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and delivered massive announcements on new titles coming to Netflix as well as sneak peeks at the most-anticipated returning series. But it was the news about titles from across Asia Pacific that shone brightest among the line-up and drove fans into a frenzy across social media. Check out the official TUDUM recap post here.

Fans went particularly wild, as if they’d won ₩45.6 billion, when they heard the Squid Game casting announcement and were buzzing from The Archies live stage performance. Below we’re sharing all the biggest news about titles from Asia shared at TUDUM.

Squid Game: Season 2

In 2021, Squid Game garnered 1.65 billion hours of viewing in the first 28 days it premiered, making it the Number 1 all-time most-watched series on Netflix. With Director Hwang already hard at work on Season 2, the first big news dropped at TUDUM with the full cast announcement.
We’re also thrilled to share that the game you love will soon become reality. At TUDUM we
shared the first look at Squid Game: The Challenge. With this first teaser, we’re providing the first sneak peek at how the brand-new competition series is coming to life, with 456 real contestants battling for $4.56 million dollars – the largest cash prize in reality television history.

The Archies

If you can’t get enough of the Archie Comics or just simply love musicals, you’ll be excited tosee the first teaser for The Archies. This coming-of-age live-action musical is a reimagination of the beloved comics set in 1960s India. The cast is gorgeous and this first look revealed at the TUDUM fan event in Brazil made the crowd kick up their heels! The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar and stars Dot., Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda.

Korea 2023 Look Ahead

Between Kill Boksoon, Physical:100 and now Bloodhounds, it’s already been a huge year for
Korean content on Netflix – but there’s so much more ahead. Global K-content fans have
