What further could you want? ”
Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell look like the perfect couple in the new romcom Anyone But You, but after an amazing first date commodity happens that turns their fiery hot magnet ice cold– until they find themselves suddenly thrust together at a destination marriage in Australia.
Anyone But You began to take shape when Sweeney inked on not only to star, but administrative produce the film. As the first filmmaker on the design, she induced director Will Gluck( addict pets Easy A and musketeers With Benefits) to come on board to give Anyone But You his distinctive uproarious voice. “ He has directed similar iconic romcoms that I grew up watching – Easy A, musketeers with Benefits – and I was really, really agitated to work on this design with him, ” says Sweeney. “ He’s so quirky in his own way. I love it – Glen and I would call him ‘ Dad. ’ I do not know how he was suitable to handle the chaos that the cast was – we kind of came like a camp, running frantically. It was so important fun. ”
And Gluck says that Sweeney not only was suitable to land him as director, but Powell as her romanticco-star. “ Sydney picked Glen at the veritably morning of the process, ” says Gluck. “ They were a veritably charming couple to me. In a romantic comedy, the whole movie rests on that chemistry, so it was important that we all felt that. ”
