Ride along on a surreal, glittery musical romance, all set to the hits of the iconic, Grammy Award-winning Indigo Girls. Serious musician Doom (Alan Cammish) and free-spirited circus kid Glitter (Filipino musical superstar Alex Diaz) start a budding summer relationship filled with camping trips, late-night conversations, and plenty of song and dance. Their relationship is put to the test as they deal with trying to make it in the music biz, their mothers (Ming-Na Wen and Missi Pyle), and finding what feeds each of their souls and dreams.

From producer M. Night Shyamalan comes “The Watchers,” written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

June 12 – Love You as the World Ends (Encore Films Philippines)

“Love You As The World Ends” follows the journey of survivors Hibiki Mimiya, who had to go through the ordeal of losing his partner Kurumi Ogasawara in the TV series the movie is based on. Along with a group of men also searching for their loved ones, Hibiki is hellbent on rescuing the only person he has left, his daughter Mirai. Mirai was kidnapped and brought to Utopia, a refuge from the zombies they call Golems. Once a beacon of hope, it’s now dilapidated with the group of researchers working on a cure huddled at the top, away from the masses.

June 26 – Marupok AF (Ayala Malls Cinemas exclusive)

Based on a true story that went viral on Twitter, “Marupok AF” follows Janzen Torres (EJ Jallorina), a hopeless romantic who goes on a dating app and matches with the seemingly perfect Theo Balmaceda (Royce Cabrera). On the day of their first date, Janzen gets ghosted. This then leads to an intricately-planned web of deceit, lies, and catfishing. A sociopathic mastermind named Beanie Landridos (Maris Racal) is behind all of Janzen’s struggles.
