THE ROSES (2025)

Love isn’t just “love.” It comes with many things. Love alone is not enough to sustain a relationship. When
you enter a relationship, you need more than just feelings. You need deep understanding, especially of eachother. You need patience, not just with your partner but with your family too. This film visually and
poetically explores what happens when love is the only thing holding two people together. Without
communication, empathy, understanding, compassion, open-mindedness, and consideration, a relationship is bound to fall apart. If you truly love someone, you wouldn’t even think of harming them. Love and lust alone aren’t enough. Without anything deeper, it’s just chaos.
The film also shows how important your circle, your friends and family, is in shaping your life. They can
either be a good influence or a bad one. There is no in-between. Friends should not be a grey area. They
should help you and your relationship grow in a healthy way.
Though this film was chaotic and at times painful, it is packed with important lessons if you really pay
attention and reflect on the story. It is also surprisingly funny and incredibly realistic. Visually, it is beautiful and distinctly British. This film offers valuable insights, especially for those in relationships. I highly recommend watching it with your family. It is both entertaining and meaningful. The dialogue was so powerful I can still hear it, especially the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch “Play the music and light the
fire.
