SB19 successfully concluded their trilogy with a massive crowd on April 18, 2026, at SMDC FestivalGrounds.
SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy group under their own company, 1Z Entertainment. Their trilogy
began with Pagsibol, released in July 2021. It features six tracks, including the hit song “MAPA.” This
was followed by Pagtatag!, released in June 2023, which included the viral TikTok sensation “Gento.”
The trilogy concluded with Simula at Wakas, released in April 2025.
On March 27, 2026, SB19 released their second studio album, Wakas at Simula. The album features
tracks from their trilogy Pagsibol, Pagtatag!, and Simula at Wakas along with six new original songs.
The Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Finale concert, held on April 18, 2026, was a sold-out outdoor event
despite the intense summer heat in the Philippines. Even under hot and humid conditions, SB19’s
fandom, known as A’Tin, showed unwavering support. Fans from all walks of life attended children with
their parents, senior citizens with their families, groups of friends, solo concertgoers, and casual listeners.
Many even traveled from different parts of the Philippines and countries such as New Zealand, Australia,
Thailand, Singapore, and Brazil.
Some attendees shared on X that they became fans on the spot after overhearing SB19’s rehearsals
nearby. This highlights the group’s strong stage presence and ability to captivate even casual listeners
instantly.
The venue itself is known to be challenging for concerts. As an open outdoor space, everything had to be
built from the ground up portalets (which were impressively air-conditioned), food stalls, water stations (a
feature not always available at concerts), and, of course, the stage. Despite these challenges, SB19
exceeded expectations and delivered a remarkable experience.
The concert featured fireworks at both the opening and closing, new arrangements of songs, updated
choreography, elaborate stage designs, and a theatrical entrance. Even under the scorching heat, fans
described the experience as unforgettable.
SB19 and 1Z Entertainment are truly redefining the Philippine music and concert scene. They have
proven that large-scale productions with premium service and world-class performances can be
successfully executed in the Philippines. SB19 is indeed breaking the norm successfully, and here we are
to witness it.
